The Role
The Finance Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the financial health, controls, and performance of the business. Reporting to senior management, the role is responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations while providing accurate financial reporting, analysis, and insight to support informed decision-making.
This position will work closely with operational, commercial, and leadership teams to ensure strong financial governance, effective cashflow management, and compliance with statutory and group requirements. The Finance Manager will also support budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives as the business continues to grow and evolve.
Key Tasks
1. Accounts Receiveable (AR)
2. Accounts Payable (AP)
3. Purchase Orders (through Sage)
4. Data Entry & Filing (Finance Ops)
5. Payroll
6. Compliance & Month End Support
Minimum Requirements: Essential
1. Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in finance and accounting roles, with progressive responsibility
2. Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
3. Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior management and operational team.
4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
5. High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail
Beneficial/Preferred Experience
1. Experience using Sage 300 accounting software
2. Prior experience working within a construction, engineering, or project-based contracting environment
3. Exposure to multi-entity or group structures, including intercompany transactions
4. Experience supporting audits, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
