Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Preparing surfaces by cleaning, leveling uneven areas, and ensuring they are suitable for plaster application.
• Plaster Mixing: Mixing plaster or other materials (like cement) to the correct consistency, either by hand or with an electric mixer.
• Plaster Application: Applying coats of plaster to walls, ceilings, and partitions, using various tools like trowels, floats, and brushes.
• Finishing and Smoothing: Smoothing plaster surfaces to achieve a level and uniform finish.
• Decorative Finishes: Creating decorative textures, patterns, or ornamental features like cornices, ceiling roses, and architraves.
• Repair Work: Repairing plaster damage, removing old plaster, and applying new plaster to restore surfaces.
• Plasterboard Installation: Measuring, cutting, and installing plasterboard partitions, suspended ceilings, and other related materials.
• External Finishes: Applying render and protective coverings to exterior walls, like pebble dash or stucco.
• Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Safety Compliance: Following safety guidelines and procedures on construction sites.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other construction tradespeople, such as builders and supervisors, to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards.

Qualifications

• minimum 3 years relevant work experience in construction industry
• primary/secondary school/O Level
• 6 days work per week
