Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Robotics Scientist to advance Embodied AI, focusing on Learning from Demonstration for contact-rich manipulation and skill acquisition, through applied R&D of robot learning algorithms integrating motion control, force/torque sensing, and multimodal perception. The role involves designing experiments, collecting and analysing demonstration data, translating research into functional prototypes, and contributing to the development of Embodied AI and humanoid robotics capabilities for impactful deployment in advanced manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct applied R&D in Embodied AI with a focus on Learning from Demonstration and contact-rich manipulation
• Design and execute experiments, collecting and analysing demonstration data for robotic skill training
• Develop and apply machine learning and deep learning methods to improve robot control and decision-making
• Integrate motion, force/torque, and multimodal perception for robust real-world manipulation
• Translate research into functional prototypes and deployable robotic solutions
• Contribute to the strategic development of Embodied AI and humanoid robotics capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support technical discussions with stakeholders

Requirements

• PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong background in Robot learning, Embodied AI, Learning from Demonstration, or AI-driven robotics methods
• Experience with deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch and or TensorFlow
• Proficiency in Python and C++
• Hands-on experience with ROS2, robotic simulation environments (e.g., Isaac Sim), and physical robot platforms
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a resilient, solution-oriented approach to complex robotics challenges.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with Industrial automation or manufacturing environments.

• Job Type: Contract - 3 Years (Extendable)
• Salary Range: S$5,500 - S$12,000
