This will be a 3-years renewable contract position based in Jurong West.

Responsibilities

• Apply R&D in Embodied AI for robotics (Learning from Demonstration (LfD) for contact-rich manipulation and skill acquisition).
• Conduct experiments to collect, process, and analyse demonstration data for training intelligent robotic behaviours.
• Integrate machine learning techniques to enhance robot control and decision-making processes.
• Research and implement state-of-the-art algorithms and methodologies to improve robot performance and efficiency.
• Map research outcomes into functional prototypes and deployable robotics solutions.
• Support the strategic development of Embodied AI and humanoid robotics capabilities.
• Leverage computer vision to improve robot perception and object recognition capabilities.
• Engage cross-functional teams (hardware engineers, software developers, and researchers).
• Supporting stakeholder engagement and technical discussions with industry partners
• Provide expert input on system capabilities and limitations.

Requirements

• PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Expert in robot learning, Embodied AI, Learning from Demonstration, or related AI-driven robotics techniques.
• Working experience with Python, C++, ROS2, simulation environments (e.g. Isaac Sim), and robotic hardware platforms.
• Knowledge of deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
• Exposure to industrial automation or manufacturing environments.
• Good communicator
• Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and present technical findings.
• Passion for robotics and a desire to stay updated with the latest developments in the field.
• Committed to solving technical challenges in the field of robotics.
• Able to approaching obstacles with a positive and determined mindset.
