Job Scope of Chemical Engineer

1. ChemicalSynthesis, Material Characterization and Testing

a. Assist to advance the development of capacity booster materials for vanadium flow batteries.

b. Conduct synthesis, characterization, granulation and electrochemical tests of capacity booster materials.

c. Assist the development and optimization of granulation processes.

d. Design and synthesize new materials according to the requirements.

e. Perform battery tests to evaluate the performance and efficiency of new materials.

f. Design and optimize synthesis routes and parameters to improve reaction yield and efficiency and reduce cost.

g. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure smooth operations and compliance with safety standards.

h. Regularly and timely updates on project progress to the technical director.

2. Pilot-scale Prototype Development

a. Assist R&D team to design, identify, and optimize the capacity boosters for pilot scale development through extensive testing.

b. Participate in the design of synthesis processes to develop a cost-effective and safe production protocol.

c. Lead the pilot scale up synthesis processes of products following the protocols built.

d. Assist in quality check of scale up products.

e. Assist the pilot-scale granulation processes, actual product design and optimizations.

3. Leadership, collaboration and Training

a. Lead and provide training to synthesis team members in product synthesis and development.

b. Mentor new team members in chemical synthesis, material characterization, granulation and testing.

c. Collaborate with different teams to integrate chemical processes seamlessly into pilot-scale prototype development.

4. Documentation and Experimental Optimization

a. Ensure meticulous documentation of R&D data.

b. Prepare technical reports, summarizing research findings, laboratory activities, and project progress.
