The Deputy Project Manager / Design Manager plays a dual leadership role, overseeing both project execution and design development. This position ensures that architectural projects are planned, designed, coordinated, and delivered efficiently-meeting quality, budget, and timeline expectations. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in architecture, excellent design management capabilities, and seamless coordination across interdisciplinary teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities: -

Project Planning & Coordination

• Lead and manage interdisciplinary project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and contractors.
• Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

Design Development & Management

• Lead and facilitate design charrettes, brainstorming sessions, and workshops to generate creative ideas and concepts.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring effective coordination of design activities.
• Oversee the development of design concepts and process, ensuring alignment with project objectives, project requirements and client expectations.
• Ensure design comply with project constraints, building codes, and industry standards.

Interdisciplinary Coordination

• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and design teams to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and other departments to integrate architectural designs into overall project objectives.
• Coordinate with internal design teams or external architects to maintain design integrity.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive project & design documentation, including design briefs, drawings, contracts, specifications, correspondence and project reports.

Qualifications & Requirements: -

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
• 10 years of relevant work experience
• Proven experience as an Architectural Project Manager/Project Architect with a successful track record of managing residential, hospitality, recreation/entertainment project.
• Proven experience in architectural design leadership with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficient in architectural design and project management software and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills, including budget and timeline management.
• Ability to balance creativity with practical considerations and project constraints.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
