Requirements

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing site works according to project schedule, specifications, and approved drawings.
- Support the Project Manager in developing work programs, method statements, and construction strategies.
- Coordinate with consultants (Architect, C&S, M&E) to resolve design discrepancies and technical issues.
2. Site Management
- Oversee daily site operations, manpower deployment, and work sequencing to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship quality and adherence to safety standards.
3. Technical & Design Support
- Review architectural, structural, and M&E drawings to identify inconsistencies and propose solutions.
- Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical inputs to ensure constructability.
- Work with BIM/technical teams to verify updated shop drawings and as-built documentation.
4. Safety & Quality Assurance
- Enforce site safety procedures in compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements.
- Ensure quality control measures are implemented and maintained throughout the project.
- Participate in QA/QC inspections, testing, and commissioning processes.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors to ensure timely approvals and inspections.
- Support in preparing progress reports, meeting minutes, and documentation for management updates.
6. Cost & Contract Support
- Assist in monitoring project costs, material usage, and variation orders.
- Support procurement activities, including evaluation of subcontractor quotations and materials.
- Verify progress claims and subcontractor invoices.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related discipline.
- 5-8 years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in a senior engineer or coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction processes, and technical standards.
- Experience in architectural and structural coordination is highly preferred.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Japanese is required due to frequent communication with our Japan Headquarters and stakeholders.
