Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of a Teacher shall include the following but not limited to:

1. Plan, prepare and deliver lessons
2. Prepare lectures and tutorials for Paper 1 and/or Paper 2(South East Asian History and International History)
3. Tailor and apply pedagogy that may attend to different learnings of the students
4. Evaluate and provide feedback on students' performance via assignments and assessments
5. Monitor students' social development through counselling and working with parents
6. Work with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. parents) to ensure meeting the pastoral and cognitive needs of the students
7. In-charge of at least one co-curricular activity and/or committee in addition to civics tutorship
8. Participate in departmental meetings, parents' teacher meetings and any other school-wide training events
9. Any other duties assigned by the School

Job Requirements

• A good undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline
• A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is preferred
• Able to teach H1 and H2 History at JC 1 and JC 2 level
• Comfortable with classroom and student management
• Passion to teach the age group of students from 13 to 18 years old
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good team player

This is a 2-year contract (renewable)
