Job Description
Reporting to the Division Head of Finance, this role is responsible for full spectrum finance matters for Singapore and overseas entities.
• Maintain full sets of accounts for Singapore and overseas entities within the Division.
• Supervise daily accounting activities, including AR/AP, general ledgers and bank reconciliation
• Responsible for month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Improve and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards,
• Prepare management reports highlighting KPIs, trends, and financial risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Analyse financial performance and prepare variance reports.
• Manage treasury functions including develops cashflow projection, monitor cashflow, manage banking relationship, and optimise trade financing arrangements.
• Coordinate with external auditor.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, corporate governance requirements, and other statutory requirements.
• Liaise with bankers, and local government agencies as required.
• Lead and supervise one finance staff.
• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accountancy or professional certificate such as ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of audit experience, preferably in one of the Big 4 firms.
• Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, Corporate Tax and Goods and Services Tax. Experience to handle accounts in overseas entities will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
• Self-starter, hands on, well organized, meticulous, analytical and able to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Immediately available is preferred.
