Role Overview

The Product Development Manager leads the end-to-end lifecycle of product innovation and enhancement initiatives. This role involves strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and oversight of development projects from concept to production. The manager is expected to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure market relevance and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Innovation & Product Strategy

• Define strategic direction for product development in alignment with business goals.
• Evaluate resources, timelines, and costs to support informed decision-making.
• Drive innovation in product concepts, flavors, and production techniques.
• Respond swiftly to market opportunities with agile development approaches.

Project Management

• Lead planning and execution of product development projects through to manufacturing.
• Initiate and manage product development processes.
• Align project scope and deliverables with stakeholder expectations.
• Identify and mitigate risks, facilitate decision-making, and ensure project transparency.
• Promote continuous process improvement and effective communication across teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific or technical discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in product development, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and lean tools.
• Advanced skills in MS Project and Excel.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and HACCP standards.
• Experience in developing SOPs.
• Knowledge of diverse manufacturing technologies is a plus.
