We are looking for a seasoned Design Lead to oversee and mentor our design team. This hands-on role requires a combination of creative vision and strong technical expertise in design detailing and schematics. You will play a key role in guiding projects from concept to completion, ensuring design quality, accuracy of drawings, and adherence to project timelines and milestones.

What you'll be doing:

• Provide creative leadership and guidance to the design team, ensuring alignment with the firm's philosophy and project goals.
• Drive innovative and high-quality design concepts that enhance the company's creative identity and market presence.
• Mentor and inspire designers to maintain excellence, creativity, and accountability.
• Lead client engagements - developing proposals, conducting presentations, and translating visions into functional, inspiring designs.
• Coordinate project workflows and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure design integrity, quality, and timely delivery.
• Review design documentation and FF&E schedules for accuracy and consistency.
• Work closely with the Design Director and CEO on key initiatives, presentations, and business development efforts.
• Support initiatives that strengthen the firm's brand and industry reputation.
• Undertake any ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Design Director or CEO.

Technical & Professional Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in interior design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior capacity.
• Proficiency in SketchUp for 3D modelling and ideally Enscape for conceptual visualization and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for technical drawings, space planning, and detailed documentation.
• Strong architectural knowledge of standard dimensions, detailing, and basic construction practices.
• Residential design experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and coordinate effectively with internal and external teams.
