General Housekeeping Duties

- Helps to maintain a clean, safe and neat environment for the residents in the nursing home.

- Performs routine housekeeping duties (cleaning/washing of bathrooms and toilets, cleaning of floor, furniture and fixtures and bed making).

- Ensures the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents and reports problems to the registered nurse. Attends to complaints of the residents.

- Helps in the cleaning of utensils and the dining hall.

- Ensures that all cleaning equipment/materials are maintained in a safe, clean and efficient working condition.

- Ensures that the Administrator is aware of the need for replacement materials and equipment for the satisfactory performance of the duties.

- Collects and laundering of linens, garments and washables. Sluicing of linen where necessary.

- Sorting and folding residents clothing ready for repair and putting away.

- Ensures that all patients have neat, clean and comfortable bed through effective bed making.

- Performs any other duties as assigned by the registered nurse.

Ad-hoc Duties

- Any other tasks assigned by Operations Manager from time-to-time.
