Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Welding Engineer to support welding procedures, materials selection, fabrication activities, and weld quality control for an EPC project. This position ensures that welding activities comply with project specifications, codes, and QA/QC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review WPS, PQR, and welding procedure documentation.
• Support qualification of welders and ensure compliance to approved procedures.
• Review vendor and fabrication yard welding documents and NDT plans.
• Monitor welding processes, materials selection, consumables, and heat treatment requirements.
• Provide technical resolution for weld defects, NCRs, and metallurgical concerns.
• Liaise with QA/QC, fabrication yards, and NDT contractors to ensure weld integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Materials, or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' welding engineering experience in oil & gas, refinery, fabrication, or EPC environment.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, API, and ISO welding codes.
• Preferably certified CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI / IWE.
• Familiar with NDT methods, metallurgy, weld failure investigation, and fabrication surveillance.
