The Resident Architect (RA) will be based full-time on-site to oversee all architectural works, ensuring they comply with approved designs, statutory regulations, and quality standards. The RA plays a key role in maintaining design integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and resolving on-site architectural and coordination issues.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Compliance Supervision

• Ensure construction works adhere to approved architectural drawings, specifications, and regulatory codes (BCA, URA, SCDF, NEA, etc.).
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements for architectural works.
• Coordinate with authorities and Qualified Persons (QPs) for inspections, approvals, and clarifications.

Quality Assurance & Inspection

• Conduct routine site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials, and progress.
• Prepare site observation and non-conformance reports as required.
• Witness and verify architectural mock-ups, material installations, and quality tests.

Coordination

• Collaborate with Resident Engineers (REs), contractors, and consultants to resolve site-related architectural issues.
• Participate in site coordination meetings and provide technical input from an architectural perspective.
• Ensure seamless integration between architectural works and other trades such as MEP, structural, and interior design.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain updated records of inspections, drawings, reports, and related correspondence.
• Issue site memos or instructions on behalf of the Architectural Consultant/QP as authorised.
• Prepare and support reports for client and consultant review.

Defects Management

• Assist in inspections for Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) / Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC).
• Identify architectural defects and ensure rectification works meet the required standards.

Safety & Regulatory\t

• Promote and maintain safety practices for architectural works in coordination with the site safety team.
• Ensure all architectural installations comply with workplace safety regulations.
