The Resident Architect (RA) will be based full-time on-site to oversee all architectural works, ensuring they comply with approved designs, statutory regulations, and quality standards. The RA plays a key role in maintaining design integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and resolving on-site architectural and coordination issues.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Compliance Supervision

• Ensure all architectural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (BCA, URA, SCDF, NEA, etc.).
• Review and verify shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
• Liaise with authorities and Qualified Persons (QPs) for inspections, clarifications, and approvals.

Quality Assurance & Inspection

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials, and progress.
• Prepare site observation reports and non-conformance documentation as required.
• Witness and validate architectural mock-ups, material installations, and quality control tests.

Coordination

• Work closely with Resident Engineers (REs), contractors, and consultants to resolve site-related architectural matters.
• Attend coordination meetings to provide technical input and ensure design consistency.
• Oversee the integration of architectural works with MEP, structural, and interior design trades.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, drawings, reports, and correspondence.
• Issue site memos or instructions on behalf of the Architectural Consultant/QP as authorised.
• Prepare and support progress and quality reports for client and consultant review.

Defects Management

• Participate in inspections for Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) and Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC).
• Identify and manage rectification of architectural defects to meet required quality standards.

Safety & Regulatory

• Promote and uphold safe work practices in coordination with the safety team.
• Ensure all architectural installations adhere to workplace safety and statutory requirements.
