Marine Superintendent - Offshore & Mooring Solutions Company (Loyang, Singapore)

Employment Type: Full-time | 6-Month Fixed Term Contract (potential to extend)

Reports to: Project Manager

Location: Singapore (Loyang Crescent) | ~30% travel within Asia

About the Company

Our client is a global offshore and mooring services provider, supporting projects across rig moves, towing operations, FPSO hook-ups, and decommissioning. With a strong presence in Asia and international support, the company delivers safe, efficient, and integrated marine operations for the energy sector.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Marine Superintendent to support marine operations and project delivery across the region. This is a 6-month contract role, reporting to the Project Manager, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs.

The position involves planning and supervising rig moves, towing operations, and vessel activities, as well as providing marine assurance and consultancy support to ongoing projects and tenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee offshore marine operations, including rig moves for semi-submersibles, jack-ups, and FPSO towings
  • Support tendering and project execution, including vessel evaluation, charter party agreements, and cost assessments
  • Liaise and negotiate with vessel owners, manage marine surveys, inspections, and audits
  • Prepare and review procedures, risk assessments, quotations, and project reports
  • Serve as Marine Representative or Towmaster during operations when required
  • Ensure all activities meet industry, client, and safety standards
  • Collaborate with project and engineering teams on mobilization and demobilization activities
  • Travel as needed within the region (approx. 30% - mainly Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia)

Requirements

  • Master Mariner (Class 1 COC) with strong background in towing, rig moves, or offshore construction vessels
  • Hands-on experience with tugboats, AHTS, DSVs, or offshore construction vessels
  • In-depth understanding of marine assurance, towing operations, and rig move procedures
  • Experience with chartering processes and Charter Party agreements
  • Familiarity with offshore operations such as transportation, delivery, and mooring installations
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across multi-country operations
  • Based in Singapore (EP support available)
