Senior Architectural Coordinator (Technical) - Substation Project (West Singapore)

A leading A1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Coordinator (Technical) to oversee architectural coordination works for a large-scale substation infrastructure project located in the west of Singapore.

This position acts as the Lead Coordinator for the design team, responsible for leading a group of architectural draftspersons and ensuring that all architectural and technical drawings are properly coordinated, buildable, and aligned with the overall project schedule and design intent.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Act as the Lead Coordinator for architectural design coordination, supervising a team of architectural draftspersons and ensuring timely delivery of accurate shop drawings.
• Liaise closely with Structural and M&E Coordinators to ensure integrated and buildable construction drawings in accordance with the project master programme.
• Review and identify design discrepancies, buildability issues, and cross-discipline impacts before submission.
• Interpret the design intent from consultants and translate it into constructible, practical architectural details.
• Ensure that all critical dimensions and details are clearly reflected and coordinated with other trades.
• Communicate effectively with consultants, design teams, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and design conflicts.
• Maintain consistency between consultant and construction drawings, ensuring compliance with authority standards.
• Adhere to workplace safety regulations and promote good safety practices in all coordination activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Building, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in architectural coordination, with at least one full project cycle completed. Prior experience on infrastructure or industrial projects (e.g. substations, utilities, or plants) is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of structural and M&E systems and their interface with architectural works.
• Capable of communicating technical concepts clearly, including through hand sketches and mark-ups.
• Familiar with local authority requirements (e.g. BCA, SCDF, LTA) and related submission procedures.
• Awareness of contractual obligations and coordination responsibilities within main contractor settings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and coordination abilities.
