Key Responsibilities
Requirements
- Lead the setup of the carpentry workshop, including layout design, equipment selection, and supplier partnerships.
- Oversee full-cycle fit-out projects, from design development to installation and client handover.
- Interpret technical drawings and collaborate with designers/clients to translate concepts into buildable solutions.
- Manage customer relationships, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and supervise carpentry and installation teams.
- Ensure quality workmanship in carpentry fabrication and installation (cabinetry, joinery, partitions, fixtures).
- Source sustainable, cost-effective materials and manage supplier relationships.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality benchmarks.
- Drive innovation in materials, finishes, and fit-out methods to enhance design and execution.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in carpentry and fit-out, with proven leadership in workshop and on-site execution.
- Strong technical knowledge of joinery, carpentry, and modern woodworking techniques (CNC proficiency preferred).
- Hands-on ability in carpentry, with experience in both fabrication and installation.
- Solid understanding of interior design principles and ability to bridge design with buildability.
- Certification in Carpentry and Interior Fit-Out required.
- Track record of handling clients directly, including project scoping, budgeting, and delivery.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in commercial, retail, or hospitality fit-out projects preferred.
