The Entertainment Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all entertainment activities in the pub - including live bands, DJs, karaoke sessions, themed events, and special performances. The role ensures that all entertainment aligns with the venue's image, attracts new guests, and enhances the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the weekly and monthly entertainment schedule (live bands, DJs, karaoke, events, etc.).
- Source, audition, and negotiate with performers, singers, emcees, and entertainers.
- Coordinate with sound and lighting technicians to ensure smooth show operations.
- Work with the marketing and PR team to promote upcoming events and performances.
- Create new event ideas to attract regular and new customers (e.g. themed nights, competitions, guest performers).
- Oversee performances to maintain quality standards and audience satisfaction.
- Manage entertainment budgets, contracts, and payments for performers.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements for live entertainment.
- Handle performer scheduling, accommodation, and hospitality arrangements when necessary.
- Gather customer feedback to improve entertainment offerings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Entertainment Manager, Event Manager, or similar role in nightlife, club, or F&B settings.
- Strong network of local and regional performers or entertainment contacts.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Creative and energetic personality with a passion for music and live shows.
- Ability to handle multiple events and work under pressure.
- Good understanding of sound, lighting, and stage management basics.
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Event Management, Hospitality, or related field (preferred).
Working Hours:
- 5.5 to 6 days work week
- Primarily evening and night shifts depending on event schedule
