Job Scope / Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop and manage overall project timeline and work schedules
Define project milestones, deliverables, and key deadlines
Coordinate planning with architects, engineers, and consultants - Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare project budgets and cost estimates
Monitor expenses and control project costs
Approve invoices, variations, and procurement requests - Contract & Stakeholder Management
Manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Handle negotiations and resolve contractual issues
Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders - Team Coordination & Supervision
Lead site teams and supervise contractors/subcontractors
Assign responsibilities and monitor performance
Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is on track - Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure construction work meets design specifications and quality standards
Implement and enforce safety, health, and environmental regulations
Address site issues and non-compliance promptly - Risk Management
Identify risks and implement mitigation plans
Resolve project delays, disputes, and emergencies effectively - Reporting
Prepare progress reports and updates for senior management and clients
Track project performance using KPIs and reporting tools
Job Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and building codes
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in construction project management
- Proven track record of managing medium to large-scale construction projects
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders (consultants, contractors, authorities)
Skills
- Strong project planning and organizational skills
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Proficient in software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, or BIM tools
- Ability to handle budget control, risk assessment, and resource allocation
