Job Description:

The Form Teacher (FT) position requires a deep passion for international school education and a strong sense of responsibility and patience for working with teenagers aged 14 to 18. An ideal candidate should possess a high level of education, excellent personal presentation, and have outstanding coordination skills to effectively manage relationships among the school, students, and parents, while liaising with other school departments as needed. The role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of assigned students during school hours, providing guidance on post-A-Level pathways, and supporting university application processes. Each FT position is designed to be responsible for two classes, comprising approximately 40-50 students.

Job Requirement :

1. Minimum a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or above
2. Experience in counselling students for university admissions is preferred, or at least two years of equivalent experience as a Form Teacher or in Student Services.
3. Bilingual in English and Mandarin (professionally in listening, speaking, reading and writing), the reason is because majority of our students are from Mainland China and you will need to communicate with their parents who may be monolingual in Mandarin only.
4. Study abroad experience(s) is desired and will be advantageous.

Job Scope :

Administration support:

• Coordinate with student services, discipline, academic, and hostel staff to manage attendance, discipline, and counselling matters, including liaising with external counsellors when needed.
• Provide regular support and guidance to students on academic issues, course transfers, personal concerns, and overall well-being.
• Communicate with parents through face-to-face meetings or digital platforms (e.g., WeChat, Zoom) to update them on students' progress in school and hostel.
• Prepare counselling reports, analyze feedback, and provide evaluations to improve student support services.
• Assist the Form Teacher department with documentation, reporting, and any other ad-hoc duties or projects as assigned by the Management.

Admissions support:

• Coordinate with partner universities and businesses, arranging meetings and internship or placement opportunities.
• Research and update admissions criteria, deadlines, courses, scholarships, and prepare relevant informational materials.
• Present university application options to students in-class using PPTs and other resources.
• Assist students and parents in selecting universities and majors, and collect necessary application documents.
• Manage university applications, track progress, and communicate offers to students and relevant staff.
• Maintain and analyze records of application outcomes and offers received.
• Support planning and execution of career talks, university fairs, and other student engagement events, both online and in-person.
