Salling Search is assisting an international shipping company to look for a Senior Chartering Manager (Supramax) based in their Singapore office.

Key responsibilities

• Driving earnings on assigned tonnage through active trading of cargoes and vessels
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with brokers, owners, customers, and internal teams
• Developing short-term trading strategies to maximise revenue
• Collaborating closely with Operations to ensure voyage optimisation and service delivery
• Sharing timely market intelligence to support informed trading decisions
• Exploring strategic trades to support global expansion

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in dry bulk Chartering (Supramax).
• Strong familiarity with the Pacific dry bulk markets
• Proven track record in trading cargoes and managing tonnage
• Basic understanding of freight derivatives (FFA) and hedging tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commercial mindset
