Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Zeehan Jaafar on all aspects of the project on Diversity and Conservation of Cryptobenthic Fishes.

The main responsibilities of the position include:
  • collecting primary and secondary data
  • reviewing literature
  • preparing, writing and editing reports
  • publications and manuscripts
  • preparing conservation outreach and education materials
  • organising workshops and seminars

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or Life Sciences or Environmental Sciences

Skills:
  • Research interests should fall within a relevant or similar area of marine conservation
  • SCUBA Diving Certification [minimum Advanced level
  • Good administrative, organisational and team-building skill
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, and the ability to write for a variety of audience
  • Willingness to coordinate and liaise with different research members and international partners of the project

Experience:
  • Relevant experience with conservation-focus internships or research projects
