Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the metal recycling facility, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality control, and recycling yield.
• Manage procurement of scrap metals and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and logistics partners.
• Monitor and analyse market trends, pricing, and demand in the metal recycling industry to support business growth.
• Lead and supervise a team of operational staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
• Prepare operational reports, cost analyses, and forecasts for management review.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with the sales/export team on supply, inventory, and customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for process optimisation.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• At least 3-5 years of management experience in the metal recycling, waste management, or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of scrap metal categories, recycling processes, and international trading practices.
• Familiarity with sustainability and regulatory compliance in recycling operations.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel when required for site inspections, supplier visits, or industry events.
