SHIPPING OFFICER (SEA)

Job Description
• Arrange bookings with shipping lines or carriers for cargo to be transported via sea. Coordinate closely with suppliers, customers, and various internal departments and warehouse team to ensure smooth cargo flow and timely shipments.
• Prepare and manage all relevant documentation for sea freight shipments, including shipping instructions, customs documents, letter of credit and any other necessary paperwork.
• Arrange timely collections / dispatch according to customer's request.
• Monitor the progress of sea freight shipments in real-time, providing regular updates to stakeholders. Address any delays or issues promptly and take corrective actions and pre-alerts to customers.
• Ensure timely billing and accuracy of the invoices.
• Attend and responds on customer's inquiries.
• Maintain open and effective communication with customers regarding shipment status, delays, and any relevant updates. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
Job Requirements:
• Candidate must possess at least O" Level.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping industry.
• With good knowledge in import and export ocean shipment.
• Knowledge of L/C Documentations, incoterms, Singapore shipping procedures & freight forwarding experience.
• Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
• Able to work as a team player, pro-active, self-motivated and high sense of responsibility.
• Motivated individual and possesses good planning and follow-up skills.
• Able to handle high volume of workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative problem solving skills.
• Immediate Starter will be an added advantage.

Work arrangement: 5 Days (Mon to Fri) / 8am to 5.45pm
