Head of Sales Strategy, TD

Position Objective:
The role is responsible in designing and executing Tied Distribution's Sales Strategy & Campaign, managing Tied Agency's expense budget & lead TD's data & analytics team
Roles and Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Campaigns
• Lead the team to design, develop (including business proposals & projections) and execute Tied Distribution's Sales Campaign within the allowable P&A budget
• Chairs and facilitates the Sales Challenge Task Force (Location Heads and SDOAs) for the design and execution of sales campaign
• Evaluate the effectiveness in the Sales Campaign and incorporate key learnings from previous campaigns to improve the effectiveness of future campaigns
• Responsible for the fulfillment of the Sales Campaign (payment, vendor management for goods delivery & taxation)
• Responsible for the appeal framework & execution of appeal process
• Allocates the VONB target and monthly phasing to the sales teams
Budget Management
• Responsible for expense budgeting for Tied Agency (GOE and P&A)
• Collaborate with all the Tied Agency cost center owners (Recruitment, SBQ, TD Ops, BIO, Sales Team, HNW & Strategy) for the budget allocation and tracking of expenses
• Preparation and reconciliation of financial spending through monthly accruals for Tied Agency
Data & Analytics
• Lead the team to provide automated tracking of Sales Campaigns & incorporate onto iSMART+
• Align production data sources, documenting and sharing one source of truth
• Implement best practices / Alteryx workflows standards
• Provide data driving insights in the decision making behind the Sales Campaign mechanisms
• Lead deep-dive data analyses in TD's historical performance and make recommendations
• Lead TD Strategy's resources for data transformation & visualization
o Develop and maintain workflows for business performance reporting
o Create and maintain insightful dashboards for management & sales team for actionable insights
o Automate reporting for the users in TD Strategy
Lead and manage a team of 5
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure effective communication and alignment of team objectives with broader Tied Distribution strategy.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to team members.
• Support professional development and continuous learning opportunities for team members.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
• A Bachelor's degree
• At least 8 to 10 years of experience in Life Insurance preferably in Agency channel management
Specific Skills (Knowledge, skills and competencies/ abilities)
• Knowledge of life insurance industry
• Strong business acumen skills with analytical curiosity with an eye for detail to make recommendations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, data analytics and visualization tools like Tableau/PowerBI is required
• Proficient in data transformation using SQL or low/no code tools (eg. Alteryx)
• Proficient communications skills to effectively explain policies with Tied Distribution force and internal stakeholders
• Self-learner and hands on to trouble shoot and problem solved challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
