OSAKA GAS ENERGY SUPPLY AND TRADING PTE. LTD.
TRADING & ORIGINATION
- Develop a deep understanding of Osaka Gas's LNG value chain, including LNG portfolio, fleet, receiving terminals, downstream energy demand etc. and work closely with HQ/OGEST colleagues so as to formulate/implement optimal trading strategies;
- Develop new trading opportunities, calculate the economics, negotiate commercial terms and conditions with counterparties, and review KTSs and LNG MSPAs/CMs;
- Ensure effective cooperation with operation member, middle/back office team, shipping, technical and other related stakeholders in HQ/OGEST;
- Follow global LNG market closely and provide accurate and timely LNG market information to internal/external stakeholders including HQ in Japan;
- Establish and maintain business relationship with counterparties, such as end-users, producers,
traders and other key players;
- Develop an understanding of potential customers' needs in great depth and provide solutions that exceeds their expectations
- Lead a team by utilizing all the necessary resources in OGEST/HG (including managements) to negotiate effectively at each level
CARGO OPERATIONS SUPPORT
- Supporting the LNG Cargo operations team cargo operational requirements as set out in deal contract, including preparation of Documentary Instruction, timely and accurate nominations, appointment of independent surveyors
- Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as trader, middle / back-office, shipping, technical etc. in OGEST, OGHQ and other overseas offices
- General operation and management of LNG vessels owned/chartered by OG group. Specifically, generation and issue of Voyage Orders (including load and discharge instructions), appointment of port agents, finding opportunities for optimum bunker procurement, etc.
- Entry of trade details in ETRM system
- Check calculations relating to the trade and make / assist in claims where necessary
- Create a checklist of cargo operations and record trading activities
DOCUMENTATION SUPPORT
- Support commercial activities such as reviewing MSPAs, CMs, KYC and SBLC, internal discussions for trading strategy, and ad-hoc duties in relations to trading and optimization by OGEST/OGHQ
- Issue Approval Documents (Ringi in Japanese) for LNG and Derivative trading activities and others in Japanese
- Discuss with Sales departments in OGEST and OGHQ to understand transactions and document the necessary information in Ringi
- Consult Legal departments in OGHQ to issue proper documentation
- Support in the development of yearly plan for OGEST including developing presentation materials and issuing formal documents
- Other tasks assigned by line manager
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in LNG/energy industry and LNG Cargo Operations and good connection/network with market participants
- Proficient and fluent in both English and business Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) to read, translate and discuss Japanese laws and legal related documents in Japanese with OGHQ.
- Proficient and fluent in Korean to read, translate and discuss with Korean counter parties.
- Experience in the analysis of overall trading economics and a strong understanding of their impact upon the overall LNG value chain;
- Experience in execution of LNG contracts and a deep understanding of evaluating the optionality / flexibility of contract terms
- Knowledge and experience using ETRM system
- Ability to manage and organize large amounts of data
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Good communication skill
- Good experience in collaborating and partnering with regional counterparts including Japan, EU, USA.
