1. OVERALL SUMMARY

The primary function is to

• Attain customer satisfaction and customer relationship development.

• Ensure vessel sea worthiness and that they fully comply with Class / Flag State / Major Oil Company requirements.

• Train and prepare competent technical superintendents in handling DF ships for DF ship's technical management.

• Train and prepare competent superintendents for handling DF bunkering operations.

• Manage long term Service agreements with Makers for Maintenance of D/F Ships.

• Keep the management updated with the fleet performance and major problems.

• Comply with EPS Manual, policies, and international regulations.

• Provide technical, people and project management expertise & consultancy to vessel conversion(s) and new building(s).

• Manage changes (including delivery or takeover of new vessels, change of flag, transfer of class, implementation of new national or international rules or regulations).

• Take up energy efficiency and CO2 Capture projects as identified by the Management.

2. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

2.1. Ensure vessel sea worthiness and Regulatory Compliance at all times.

2.2. Approve Class and Flag State Surveys to ensure all Certificates are valid.

2.3. Monitor and plan:

• Scheduled dry dockings.

• Class / flag certifications.

• Upgrade repairs / projects / workshop.

• Vessel's maintenance plans.

• Shipboard visits / audits.

• Supply of spares / stores and consumables.

2.4. Control and substantiate:

• Daily running cost.

• Project costs.

• SNP reports and costs.

2.5. Oversee fleet personnel welfare and planning of onboard assignments.

2.6. Support integrated Human resources project and evaluation and identification of key ship staff.

2.7. Administer training and welfare of business team members.

3. QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

• B.Sc.(Hon) Engineering Studies / M.I.S.M. / M.A.S.E.E. or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / M.O.T First Class (Motor) or Degree in Marine Engineering or Master (Foreign Going)

• 20 years of relevant working experience in the marine industry; or

• Minimum of 10 years of sailing experience with at least 2 years' experience as Chief Engineer or a member of management team; or

• Minimum 5 years working experience as a Superintendent

• Minimum 5 Years of Tanker experience is mandatory for Tankers / LPG / Chemical Fleets.
