As a metal forming Research Scientist / Senior Scientist you will play a key role in driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge incremental metal forming technologies to address unique challenges across various industries.
We are looking for a highly motivated and independent individual with a strong passion for research to work on manufacturing technologies development, as well as process development and deployment, to shape the future of advanced manufacturing.

Qualifications and experience

• Ph.D. in Material Science Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace.
• Strong understanding of material science and mechanical engineering, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in metal forming research and development, including incremental forming of sheet and bulk metals, cold and hot forming, related forming operations, etc., in an academic and/or industrial setup.
• Proven track record in obtaining competitive research funding, as well as executing high-level research activities related to large scale grants.
• Experienced in tooling design, metallurgical characterization of metallic materials, CAD modelling, and finite element modelling (FEM) for metal forming processes.

• Able to present high-level technical and scientific information to audiences with various level of technical understanding.
• Capable of preparing high-quality presentation materials with the research findings and deliver them through publications, technical reports and presentations. A strong track record of scientific publications in leading journals and conferences is expected.
