Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support, train, and supervise assigned Crewing Superintendents and Crewing Operators.
• Review and monitor safe manning of vessels in line with minimum and special manning requirements, vessel age, trade, type, condition, and budget.
• Ensure seafarers are fully trained, qualified, and compliant with Company, STCW, and Flag State regulations.
• Verify that seafarers undergo medical examinations with independent, qualified doctors and obtain valid medical certificates before joining.
• Oversee crew changes in compliance with Seafarers' Employment Agreements (SEA), liaising with vessels, owners, and operators to arrange suitable dates/ports.
• Arrange and monitor travel and visa requirements for seafarers, ensuring sufficient handover and familiarization time.
• Ensure SEAs comply with MLC, Flag State, and national requirements.
• Monitor and charge expenses outside manning agreements appropriately to owners.
• Track crew performance, including cadet progress, and arrange necessary follow-up.
• Plan officers' and ratings' rotations and support seafarers' career progression.
• Actively recruit seafarers for open positions.
• Ensure full compliance with the Company's Management System and promote continuous improvement.
• Develop and update crewing policies, procedures, and processes.
• Identify, monitor, and address training needs for seafarers.
• Review vessel disbursement accounts and maintain seafarer records.
• Liaise with stakeholders in cases of crew sickness, accidents, or emergencies.
• Investigate and follow up on non-conformities, observations, and customer complaints.

Requirements:

• Seagoing experience as an officer, or a university degree and experience as Crewing
• Superintendent of not less than 3 years;
• Good leadership, communication and controlling skills;
• Good command of the English language;
• To be fully conversant with applicable international and national rules and regulations;
