Key Responsibilities: The Student Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end learner experience within the Academy. This includes managing all administrative functions, supporting learner engagement, and ensuring the successful operation of student services. The role also involves leading the career advisory team to provide learners with career guidance, industry connections, and opportunities that will prepare them for success in the food and beverage sector. This position ensures that learners receive high-quality, consistent, and effective support throughout their academic journey.

Leadership:
- Oversee the entire learner lifecycle, from initial enrollment to completion, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all learners of Bettr Academy.
- Lead the student services team to deliver a positive experience from pre-class to post-class and drive systems and SOPs to ensure efficiency and consistency in the administrative functions and workflow.
- Lead the student services team to be on top of all reporting functions including course administration, finance accounting and SSG grants submission.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance learner satisfaction to ensure that the Bettr Academy training standards are met and in compliance with Quality Assurance requirements.
- Manage organisation's relationship with key government bodies and stakeholders (SSG) to foster a strong engagement and to ensure the organisation's interests are effectively represented in government-related discussions and initiatives.
- Work with the Marcomms and Community team to implement strategies to retain student loyalty and create an eco-system and learning environment where the learners feel valued, engaged and motivated.
Operational Duties:
- Lead the operational and admin aspects of student services, including managing enrolment records, attendance records, scheduling, course registrations, finance and accounting records.
- Ensure smooth administration of learner communication including management of requests, feedback, complaints and appeals that arise during the learner experience.
- Review systems and processes for course administration and conduct regular interval reviews for improvement and enhancement purposes.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and systems to ensure the efficient operation of student services.
- Manage channel partners and provide SOP training and guidance to the course promotion team.
Career Advisory Leadership:
- Lead the career advisory team to provide learners with career counseling, industry insights, and personalized career development plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, employers, and alumni to create internship, apprenticeship, and job placement opportunities for students.
- Track the career progression of alumni and report on the success rates of students in securing employment within the industry.
- Work with government agencies (eg. SSG, LLI) to set up career pursuit opportunities at regular roadshows and events.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, human resources, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in student services in adult education, academic administration, or career development, preferably in a higher education or adult education environment.
- Strong knowledge of student services operations and best practices. Previous experience in leading and managing teams, especially in a student-centered environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including adult learners and external partners.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Passion for student success, career development, and the food and beverage industry.
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment - ACTA (Good to have)
Working Schedule:
- Full-time position, with occasional evening or weekend hours required for events and activities.
- Based at the academy campus, with potential for remote or hybrid work on administrative tasks.
- Some travel may be required for career fairs, employer meetings, and industry events.
