Working hours: Mon - Thurs: 8.30am - 6.00pm, Fri: 8.30am - 5.30pm
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive market scans and literature reviews on new products, such as high-protein and plant-based products, to identify market trends, consumer preferences, and innovations.
2. Product Development:
Ideate, design, and develop prototypes for novel food products, ensuring they consumer needs and nutritional requirements.
3. Sensory Evaluation:
Plan and execute sensory evaluation tests to evaluate new products and gather and analyse sensory data for prototype refinement.
4. Shelf-Life Study and Optimization:
Explore and apply preservation methods such as thermal processing, natural preservatives, and other techniques to extend product shelf life while maintaining quality.
5. Research Support:
Assist food research scientists in projects (alternative protein, extrusion technology, plant-based innovation, beverage, food waste valorisation, etc.) liaise with external suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to source ingredients and gather insights for product development.
