We are seeking a Bid & Tender Director with a strong business development focus to lead tender strategy, win high-value projects, and drive growth across piling and foundation works in both public and private sectors.

This senior leadership role combines pre-contract expertise with strategic client engagement, identifying opportunities, and shaping bids that strengthen our market position.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business development through the end-to-end tender process, identifying, evaluating, and winning new project opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and technical authority during pre-bid discussions, clarifications, and site visits.
• Lead the preparation of technically robust and commercially competitive bids, ensuring alignment with company growth strategy.
• Collaborate with estimators, QSs, design engineers, and project teams to develop compelling tender packages.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client requirements to inform bid strategy and business development initiatives.
• Maintain and enhance a library of project references, method statements, HSE documents, and submission templates to support repeatable success.
• Track tender pipelines, win rates, and market opportunities, reporting insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Mentor and guide the bid team, fostering a culture of strategic thinking, business development, and operational excellence.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related construction discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in tendering for piling/foundation works, with proven track record in winning high-value projects.
• Demonstrated experience in business development, client engagement, and pre-contract strategy.
• Strong technical knowledge of bored piling, secant piles, diaphragm walls, and other geotechnical systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in tender software, technical document preparation, and commercial evaluation
