Hiring Full-time/Part-time Assistant Teacher

Expectation of Role:

• Support the class teacher.
• Assist the class teacher in the care of the child in accordance with the school's safeguarding and child protection guidance.
• Independently supervise children at breaktimes, lunchtimes or on trips.
• Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures.
• Carry out planned curriculum tasks with individuals or group under teacher instruction.
• Listen to children read, using the appropriate skills.
• Organise resources for the class and maintain educational equipment used by the class.
• Prepare classroom displays and help to prepare art materials for class activity.
• Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school including ECAs and school events.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

- Minimum 3 GCE "O" or "N" Level, including a credit in English and Maths

- Experience of working with children in a school setting.
