Indoor Vertical Farm Worker

This is a hands-on role, you will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art vertical farm. From seeding and harvesting to assisting with automated systems, your efforts will help us deliver fresh, high-quality produce. 44 hours a week, 5.5 days, Rostered Mondays to Sundays including PH.

Key Responsibilities:

• Farm Operations:
  • Assist with all farm functions, from preparing nutrient solutions and supplies to carrying out daily seeding, harvesting, and packaging tasks.
  • Perform manual tasks such as seeding, sorting, and packaging produce.
  • Operate automated systems (e.g., seeding machines, sorting machines, packaging equipment) as needed to support farm operations.
  • Monitor plant health and systems, ensuring crops are cultivated to meet quality and yield targets.
  • Maintain farm equipment and systems, reporting any issues to the team as necessary.
• Teamwork and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently and ensure smooth farm operations.
  • Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals and quality standards.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comply with food safety standards, including hygiene practices, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• Essential:
  • Able to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 10 kg and standing for extended periods.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work with farm equipment (training provided).
  • Flexibility to work weekends or off-days as needed.
• Preferred:
  • A diploma in Horticulture, Agricultural Technology, or a related field (good but not required).
  • Basic knowledge of plant science, pest management, or food safety (preferred but not required).
  • Prior experience in vertical farming or agriculture is a plus.
  • Experience with automated farming systems such as seeding, sorting, or packaging machinery is advantageous.
