What you'll do

As the Associate Director, Channel Partnerships, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing Airwallex's channel partner ecosystem. You will play a lead role in attracting, onboarding, and empowering partners to drive referrals and product adoption-building enduring, mutually beneficial relationships and coaching a high-performing team. You will own the strategy and the execution, working cross-functionally to ensure every partner and their clients experience the best of Airwallex.

This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, engage, acquire, and activate channel partners, strategically targeting those with the greatest growth and influence potential across Asia/South east Asia
  • Onboard new channel partners and deliver tailored education on the Airwallex product suite-equipping them with the right tools, training, and insights to confidently refer clients and promote our solutions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with all key partner stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration to drive mutual growth and partnership-led revenue.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of channel partnership managers-driving continuous development, accountability, and best-in-class execution.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, legal, sales, and operations teams to deliver a seamless experience for partners and their clients, from initial engagement through to successful activation.
  • Track and report key performance indicators - delivering regular updates on partner activity, commercial impact, and program effectiveness to senior leadership.
  • Lead negotiations and contractual discussions with new and existing partners, ensuring mutually beneficial and compliant outcomes.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities, proactively refining partnership strategy to maintain Airwallex's leadership and adapt to evolving SME needs.

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least 9 years of experience in partnership and business development roles.
  • Significant negotiation and partnership proposal development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership-having managed, mentored, or grown high performing commercial or partnership teams.
  • Prior experience in a Management Consulting & Sales.
  • Experience working in tech or a high-growth startup.
  • Hands-on expertise designing channel sales programs, onboarding processes, or partner enablement tools.
  • Proven experience with sales enablement automation, partner lifecycle management, or "zero-code" integration approaches.
  • Data-driven approach to measuring referral impact and partnership program effectiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
