SUMMARY

You will support the trading activities across all regions to ensure that company is fully secured financially. You will also work with the Group Treasury Department to identify trade finance facilities required by the company to efficiently finance its trade flows and ensure implementation.

You will liaise with traders and banks, and be responsible for establishing good working relationships with them to obtain optimal, cost effective, and innovative financing solutions for the company an ongoing basis.

THE ROLE

Weekly monitoring and mark to market of any stock positions

Ensure timely processing of payments and effective management of cash positions with banking partners

Manage risk coverage on sales through banks and/or insurance where necessary.

Issuance of Letter of Credit or Bank Guarantees including negotiation with banks in weekly monitoring and mark to market of any stock positions

order to place transactions under Borrowing bases, bilateral facilities or Repurchase agreements

Negotiate and document financing facilities instruments

Prepare and dispatch invoices and original documents for payment under documentary letters of credit received from buyers

Find and structure the most appropriate and cost-effective banking solutions for physical trading

Control and monitor risks related to the daily purchases and sales of commodities

Handle new trades and flows and closely coordinate with commercial and operations team

Acquire bank lines and/or establishes new banking relationships as and where necessary

Participate in the training of junior team members

Assess physical transactions for risk and compatibility for relevant financing facility

Report on credit/performance exposure and risk related to finance management

Handle all aspects of Letter of Credit and collections

Review and approve spot and term contracts and tenders for finance associated risks

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors' Degree from a recognized university with 8 years of trade finance experience in a trading firm/financial institution

Possess a strong understanding of the principals surrounding Trade Finance instruments and their pitfalls

Attention for detail with capacity to summarize information and understand "global picture"

Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner to external and internal stakeholder including reporting to finance senior management from time to time

Proactively establish positive relationships with banks to match each deal with the best bank's profile

Skilled in managing complex transactions and securing bank support for non-standard financing structures, particularly in the Metals, Oil, and Energy sectors. Experienced in structuring deals, engaging with banks, coordinating with operations, and establishing banking facilities.
