This role will leverage systems and automation to bring scale, efficiency and reliability to the financial reporting process.

What you will do

  • Work with offshore accounting team in Manila that will be performing accounting-related functions such as bookkeeping, consolidations and preparation of financial statements, including establishment of appropriate processes and provision of training
  • Optimise existing accounting design and processes to streamline financial and management reporting, financial analysis, and provision of financial information across the group
  • Together with the existing Singapore-based accounting team, oversee and perform ongoing review of output provided by the offshore accounting team

  • Be across the accounting practices of other Equis offices, and share best practices with finance teams in those offices

  • Provide support for transactions occurring around the group, including acquisitions and divestments of renewable energy projects, corporate restructurings, and capital raisings

What you can offer
  • CPA / CA qualified with at least 8 years of work experience, including a minimum of 5 years' commercial experience (i.e. outside of audit practice)
  • Experience working in group-level accounting roles for multi-national organisations, including hands-on experience in financial statement preparation and consolidations
  • Hands-on experience in the design and implementation of one or more accounting systems
  • Experience in migrating accounting processes to offshore accounting teams or shared service centres, including designing and documenting procedures, training remote teams, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer and ongoing quality control
  • History of creating efficient and scalable accounting setups, optimising charts of accounts, data classification and accounting processes to address current needs and anticipate future needs as the organisation expands
  • Structured thinker, with an intuitive understanding of numbers and strong spreadsheet skills; experience with PowerBI or other data visualisation tools would be desirable
  • A mindset of constant improvement, with a highly-tuned antenna for inefficiencies and an instinctive, irresistible urge to eradicate them, coupled with an innate skill for finding solutions and improvements
  • Strong communications and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both fellow accounting team members, and to non-accounting colleagues and senior management.
  • Prior involvement in M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, or capital raising from a finance angle is a plus

Benefits
  • Exposure to a diversity of innovative infrastructure projects across Asia
  • Professional development - including training, conferences and seminars
  • Career development opportunities as Equis scales up development pipeline into construction followed by operations
  • Culture - social and collaborative work environment
  • Collaboration with and exposure to wider finance teams across other Equis jurisdictions including Australia, Japan, Korea and Philippines
