We are represnting an international trading and shipping business to recruit for an experienced Finance professional to take on a key leadership role. The company operates across multiple global entities and is scaling rapidly, offering exposure to both local operations and cross-border stakeholders.

The Role
This is a senior finance position, responsible for overseeing finance operations in Singapore while also managing higher-level group reporting and analysis across international entities. The role works closely with commercial teams (Chartering, Operations, Risk, Trading) and senior management to ensure robust financial reporting, compliance, and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead finance operations for the Singapore entity, including statutory compliance, monthly closing, and group consolidation.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow reporting, and oversee the working capital cycle.
• Partner with commercial and trading teams to provide financial insights that support performance and decision-making.
• Prepare financial statements under IFRS and coordinate audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Support the development of finance systems, processes, and controls to improve efficiency and reporting quality.
• Act as a finance business partner to stakeholders across regions, aligning with group objectives and reporting structures.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years' experience, with exposure to both management reporting and technical accounting. Prior experience in shipping, commodities trading, or related sectors (logistics, offshore, maritime services) is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, group consolidation, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment with matrix reporting.
• Proficiency in finance systems and tools; knowledge of Veson IMOS and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365 is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
