Role Overview
As the independent contributor of the Singapore Procurement Tower (SGPT), fully in charge of the daily operations and management of the SGPT activities.
Key Responsibilities
Procure-to-Pay Management
- Create and issue purchase orders (PO) to Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and related inter-company PO
- Ensure communication of PO to CMs in time, following up each order shipment plans from creation to payment
- Ensure efficient execution of all regular procurement duties and administrative work
- Work with internal parties to ensure data accuracy of PO in systems, including all products and supplier data setup and maintenance
- Follow up and analyze PO execution & completion.
- Check supplier shipping documents and prepare related internal documents.
- Liaise with internal parties to make sure all specifications are communicated and received by CMs.
- Identify and drive procure-to-pay process improvements and maximize operational efficiency and utilization related to procure-to-pay process.
Reporting
- Prepare and analyze supplier KPIs and monitor costing regularly
- Report, consolidate and analyze procurement tower spending
- Report procurement data to cross functional teams
Procurement Tower Management and Projects
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate current business processes to streamline / remove inefficiencies for continuous improvement.
- Map out and update team SOP.
- Design and execute solutions for evolving business needs and drive end-to-end implementation and enforcement of policies.
- Leverage cross-functional partnerships to institutionalize policies, ensuring organization-wide comprehension, adoption, and consistent application.
- Assess project budget and risks from procurement standpoint
- Build and maintain close relationships with internal parties and CMs through all phases of needs assessments
- Prepare and submit project status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
- Support ad hoc projects and duties as assigned by manager
Desired Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor's Degree holder, preferably in procurement, supply chain management or any related disciplines
- A recognized qualification in procurement would be considered an asset
- Min 5 years work experience in the Procurement field, experience in FMCG industry is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good command of both written and spoken in English and Chinese preferred
- Demonstrated business analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail, the ability to structure an approach to work.
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good presentation and report writing skills
- Sound knowledge of ERP system, and knowledge of Oracle NetSuite is an advance.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
