Role overview:
• The Inventory Assistant manages medical supplies, medications, and hospital materials, ensuring accurate inventory records, procurement, and stock organization.
• Key responsibilities include updating EzyVet, checking deliveries, handling controlled drugs, conducting audits, and forecasting inventory needs with staff.

Job Description:
• Maintain and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, medications and other hospital materials
• Ensure accurate and timely updates to inventory records in EzyVet including entering update of invoices
• Assist with procurement, ordering and receiving stock, checking deliveries for accuracy and quality
• Implement the process around controlled drugs
• Organise and label stock to ensure efficient accessibility and rotation of items
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
• Work closely with veterinary staff to forecast inventory needs and manage stock levels accordingly
• Help implement and maintain inventory management policies and procedures
• Prepare and submit inventory reports to hospital management
• Working Hours: 5 day work week, 8am to 5pm / 9am to 6pm
Desired skills and experience:
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., EzyVet, Microsoft Excel).
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with veterinary staff and management.
• 2-3 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations, preferably in a veterinary, medical, or pharmaceutical setting.
• Experience handling controlled substances in compliance with AVS regulation is an advantage.
