DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Research Officer to join our interdisciplinary research team focused on the integration of Computation and AI/Machine Learning into Drug Discovery. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of cutting edge computational and AI driven platforms that accelerate therapeutic discovery, optimize drug candidates and support translation to clinical impact.
You will work alongside researchers across diverse domains, including computational biology, cheminformatics, pharmacometrics, contributing to foundational algorithmic advancements, build robust computational tools, as well as supporting active drug projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the development of data processing pipelines across chemical, biological and clinical datasets.
• Design, implement and operationalize computational workflows to enable robust and scalable execution of advanced algorithms, including model training, hyperparameter tuning, performance evaluation, and inference.
• Develop user friendly computational tools and interfaces to make advanced computational models accessible to domain experts across biology, chemistry, and pharmacology.
• Collaborate with domain experts across multiple scientific and drug discovery disciplines.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor or Master degree in bioinformatics, cmputational Biology, chemoinformatics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong programming skills, with experience in scientific computing or ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, scikit learn, RDKit).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn, with a proactive attitude toward exploring new methods, concepts and tools.
• Up to date knowledge of recent advances in AI/ML, particularly those relevant to biomedical or drug discovery applications.
