Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Prepare and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts for retail stores and online channels.
• Analyse store performance, sales trends, and gross margins to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide regular financial insights to management on profitability, cost control, and revenue growth.

Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes in accordance with accounting standards.
• Ensure timely preparation of P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Manage fixed assets accounting, inventory valuation, and shrinkage analysis.

Finance Operations

• Monitor and reconcile point-of-sale (POS) sales data and ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Work closely with merchandising and supply chain to manage stock levels, purchase orders, and vendor payments.
• Track promotional campaign results and evaluate return on investment (ROI).

Cash & Credit Control

• Manage store cash handling processes and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Oversee banking relationships and ensure optimal cash flow management.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Maintain strong internal controls over inventory, sales, and expense claims.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, retail licensing, and statutory reporting requirements.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and business partnering capability.
• Partner with retail operations teams to support store openings, closures, and expansion plans.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy
• At least 5 years of experience in Retail Industry
