Real Estate Investment Associate

The Real Estate Investment Associate will focus primarily on corporate-level and direct real estate acquisitions across Asian markets. Working within a fast paced and close knit team, Associates have the opportunity to assume immediate responsibility and play an integral role on deal teams, including being involved with the development, structuring and financing of transactions and attending meetings, negotiations and due diligence sessions.

Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating prospective investment opportunities in different real estate sectors, including office, logistics, retail, and hotels.
- Performing due-diligence on transactions, including co-ordinating various advisors and partners.
- Assisting in the formation of investment strategies and business plans.
- Undertaking complex financial analysis and valuations of investment opportunities across different real estate sectors and jurisdictions.
- Coordinating the production of comprehensive investment committee memorandums.
- Participating in the execution of transactions, including review of legal documentation and negotiation of contracts.
- Managing existing assets in the portfolio, including business plan development and exit planning and execution.
Job Requirements
- Strong analytical, quantitative and technical skills.
- Minimum Bachelor degree in an economics or finance discipline, preferably from a top-tier university.
- At least three years experience working in a real estate team within an investment bank or private equity firm, with relevant deal experience across real estate asset classes.
- Genuine interest in the real estate industry.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), with excellent interpersonal skills. Additional language skills are a bonus.
- Ability to work independently and as a team, in an entrepreneurial environment.
- As a US-headquartered firm operating across multiple time zones, this role will require occasional work outside of standard business hours.
- Advanced user of Excel and Powerpoint.
- Outstanding analytical, modelling and valuation skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Personal and professional integrity.
