Do you like solving complex puzzles? The Asia Pacific Equipment Planning, Performance and Innovation team solves one of the most challenging puzzles in Maersk Equipment distribution. With the largest regional scope globally, we optimize empty container equipment distribution to countries spanning across the whole of Asia Pacific Region.

We offer

Leading a team highly specialised equipment flow operators, planners and project managers, you will achieve the optimised distribution of empty container equipment on one of the largest mother vessel and feeder networks in Asia Pacific Region. This is done through data analysis and close coordination with stakeholders across multiple functions, both in Operations and Commercial.

Key responsibilities

Together with your team you will:

• Lead, coach, and develop the team members.
• Translate the company purpose and our Integrator Strategy into identifiable and actionable elements for the team.
• Deliver optimal empty equipment distribution within the Asia Pacific region to meet the demand of our customers while seeking to do so at the lowest operational cost.
• Proactively engage and collaborate with Asia Market (ROM) on equipment-related matters that could represent a hindrance or opportunity to the commercial performance and our ability to deliver on our promise(s) to our customers.
• Identify empty flow bottlenecks and ensure the same is raised to relevant stakeholders in Network Product, Equipment Asset Management, and Ocean Fulfilment for network design consideration.
• Drive and participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving company results, cost savings, customer experience, process standardization, automation, and more.
• Drive empty to full and empty model initiatives with Area E&E and ROM colleagues.
• Lead the direction setting for Area E&E teams and optimize total Equipment and EMR cost across the region.
• Deliver and implement transformation and innovation roadmap across tech platforms and process & operational excellence initiative

You will be accountable for the:

• Regional Empty Stock Levels
• Regional Empty & EMR Variable Unit Cost
• Regional Booking Cancellations due to equipment unavailability
• Regional process and tech transformation

We're looking for

• An excellent and credible communicator with great stakeholder management skills, displays strong ability to engage and motivate others to deliver on required actions.
• A highly analytical mind, with ability to leverage on data to drive decisions.
• Strong experience in liner shipping network, such as trade Management, line management, equipment flow management or relevant
• Team-oriented, with a passion to proactively collaborate with colleagues across multiple functions and geography, and passionate about driving engagement in your own team.
• Understanding of Maersk commercial drivers and landscape would be an advantage.
