About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, food hygiene, and timely meal preparation for our residents and day-care clients. You will work closely with the cook and supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, food hygiene, and timely meal preparation for our residents and day-care clients. You will work closely with the cook and supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and wash kitchen utensils, plates, and silverware, ensuring they are cleaned and disinfected
- Operate kitchen equipment and machinery safely
- Sweep and mop the kitchen floor regularly
- Assist with unloading, sorting, and storing food supplies and donated items
- Organise and maintain kitchen inventory
- Prepare and clear food before and after breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea breaks
- Ensure proper sorting of meals according to dietary requirements (e.g. soft diet, normal, diabetic)
- Pack stores and assist with the collection and storage of donated goods
- Support supervisor when donation items are delivered
- Complete all assigned duties in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Job Requirements
- Minimum Primary School education
- Relevant kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
- Able to converse in simple English
- Willing to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Hardworking, meticulous, and responsible
