We are seeking a highly experienced and creative R&D Chef with expertise in Hunan cuisine to lead our culinary innovation and menu development.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead the research, development, and creation of new dishes in line with Hunan cuisine traditions and company brand positioning.
-Refine and improve existing recipes to enhance flavour, consistency, and presentation.
-Ensure all new dishes maintain authenticity while incorporating innovative techniques to meet evolving market trends.
-Develop and document standard recipes, cooking methods, and plating guidelines.
-Collaborate with procurement to source high-quality, authentic Hunan ingredients.
-Conduct regular tasting sessions, gather feedback, and adjust recipes accordingly.
-Provide training and guidance to kitchen teams to ensure proper execution of new dishes.
-Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
-Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to inform product development.
Requirements:
-Minimum 15 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 10 years specializing in Hunan cuisine.
-Proven track record in R&D and menu innovation for restaurants or F&B groups.
-Deep knowledge of Hunan cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavour profiles.
-Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.
-Ability to balance authenticity with creativity to appeal to diverse customer bases.
-Proficiency in kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and cost control.
-Passion for culinary excellence and innovation.
