Description

This is an energy trading firm has a significant presence in the oil and gas industry, with a particular focus on exploration, production, and energy infrastructure. Due to business expansion, the company is currently seeking to hire a Trade Finance Manager to lead a team in Singapore

Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Manager oversees trade finance transactions such as letters of credit, trade loans, and guarantees. They collaborate with stakeholders to structure financing solutions, ensure compliance, and manage risks. The role includes building relationships with financial institutions, negotiating terms, providing trade finance reports, supporting contract execution, offering market insights, and assisting with treasury functions. The Manager also leads a team, drives strategic initiatives, and manages relationships with executives and external partners.

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a degree in accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in trade finance within commodities firms. Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a must. You will have proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage, develop, and motivate a team. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders are essential. Additionally, you will possess in-depth knowledge of trade finance instruments, financial markets, risk management practices, and commodity trading.
