Primary Objective:

The Junior QA/QC Chemist will be responsible for assisting in calibration and purchasing of lab supplies as well as maintaining the quality system.

Core responsibilities:

Calibration

• To assist in routine in-house calibration of analytical equipment according to quality procedures or ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and maintaining LIMS+.
• To ensure all internal calibrations assigned meet the specified time interval.
• Upkeep and preserve calibration references. Coordinate with accredited third party to schedule external calibrations.
• Maintain and update equipment master list.

Procurement

• Assist the purchasing chemist in the routine laboratory supplies requisition.
• Prepare purchase orders for supplier quotations.
• Expedites supplies and ensuring proper delivery.
• Responsible for order confirmation and follow up communication.
• Evaluates vendor quote and service to determine most desirable suppliers.
• Follow up with supplier evaluation and keep up to date records.

Other responsibilities:

• To assist in waste management to meet NEA requirements. Coordinate with authorized waste collector for disposal of hazardous chemical wastes.
• To perform any other duties as requested by the QA Manager or supervisor such as work pertaining to improvement of the Company's quality performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Diploma of science related is required, or
• Bachelor's degree in a related science is preferred.
