Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations
• Manage and lead the finance team in all aspects of daily operations, including financial and management reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and treasury activities.
• Oversee finance functions across head office corporate entities, such as the listed company, corporate services units, and treasury-related entities.
• Ensure timely completion of year-end statutory audits and financial statements, working closely with external auditors to address queries and resolve audit matters.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in full compliance with accounting standards and local tax regulations.
• Manage tax matters including corporate income tax, GST, and property tax; address queries from IRAS and support tax planning initiatives.
• Oversee transfer pricing activities, including analysis and documentation preparation.
• Handle treasury operations, including monitoring loan compliance and managing day-to-day cash flow.
• Collaborate with Business Unit Heads and Operations teams to support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Provide financial insights to enhance operational efficiency, cost control, and performance.
• Track and manage financial and capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Provide strong technical support and mentorship to team members, fostering a high-performance and accuracy-driven environment.
• Perform other finance-related tasks and projects as needed.
Shared Services
• Identify areas for improvement in accounting and reporting functions to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
• Develop, implement, and periodically review internal control policies and procedures.
• Ensure strict compliance with internal control frameworks, recommending improvements where necessary.
• Drive process enhancement initiatives with a focus on automation, standardization, and simplification of accounting workflows.
• Introduce innovative solutions to improve finance processes and operational performance.
• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including intercompany billing, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP).
Job Requirements
• Possess at least 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years with a Big 4 accounting firm and at least 3 years in a managerial role; prior experience in the real estate industry is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of operational finance within the real estate sector.
• Well-versed in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Familiar with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Cognos, and MRI.
• Highly meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently while also being an effective team player.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, guide, and motivate the finance team to deliver timely and high-quality results.
• Willing to work extended hours and perform under tight deadlines when required.
• Demonstrates a positive and proactive working attitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
